CONTROLLER
West St. Louis Metro Area - Local Candidates Only Please

A well-established company in West St. Louis is searching for a Controller to come on board, join their management team and assist with leading their organization. This opportunity will allow the right candidate to make an immediate impact.

For this opportunity, a candidate will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or similar field, have 7+ years of progressive experience, strong technical accounting skills, month/year end close, analysis and reporting, strong systems experience, and enjoy working with a variety of professionals. Must enjoy being in a supervisory role, while still being hands-on. Experience in public accounting is preferred and experience in the auto dealership industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for day to day accounting and finance activities
- Month/year end close
- Analysis and reporting
- Process improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain policies and controls
- Assist with tax filings
- Special projects
- Team supervision

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or similar field
- 7+ years of progressive experience to a similar role
- Public accounting experience is preferred
- Experience in the auto dealership industry is highly preferred
- Advanced degree and/or a CPA is a plus
- Strong technical accounting experience
- Good team leader
